ATL Airport Hotels: Where to Sleep, What It Costs, and Which Shuttles Actually Run

There is no hotel inside the terminals at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). The closest hotels sit one stop from the Domestic Terminal on the free, 24 hour ATL SkyTrain at Gateway Center, next to the Georgia International Convention Center. Prices checked November 2026 start at $55 to $77 a night at the cheapest verified option south of the airport, and SkyTrain hotels on KAYAK ranged from $134 a night upward. Most Virginia Avenue hotels run a free shuttle to the Domestic Terminal only, so International Terminal arrivals need the free terminal shuttle first.

Prices checked November 2026. Hotel rates move by date, so every range below is the range found on the listing pages cited in the Sources section at the time of checking, not a promise for your travel dates.

    Quick answer box

    • Closest hotel to the terminals: Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway, at the first ATL SkyTrain stop, a 2 minute ride from the airport according to Marriott. Marriott lists the hotel as 2.0 miles from ATL. KAYAK showed rooms booked at $188 to $273 in the two weeks before checking. No road shuttle is needed, and the SkyTrain is free.
    • Cheapest decent option: La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Airport South in College Park. Google Hotels listed typical prices of $55 to $77 a night for the dates checked, and Wyndham describes a free 24 hour shuttle service and a location 1 mile from the airport.
    • Best free shuttle option: Holiday Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport North, 1380 Virginia Avenue. IHG lists the hotel as less than 2 miles from ATL, and its shuttle is complimentary. Way.com’s listing for the same hotel states the free shuttle operates 24/7, every 30 minutes, from the Domestic side only. KAYAK showed rooms from $69.
    • Best park, sleep and fly option: Drury Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport, 1270 Virginia Avenue. Explore Georgia states its Stay and Fly Package offers free parking at the hotel for up to seven days with a minimum one night stay. With room rate bands of $101 to $200 listed by Explore Georgia, that beats seven days in ATL’s own Economy lot at $140, with a bed, breakfast and shuttle included. Full math is in the park, sleep and fly section below.

How to read this table: nightly ranges come from KAYAK, Google Hotels or the state tourism listing named in each row. Package prices come from ParkSleepHotels or ParkSleepFly listing pages, which sell one night plus parking and shuttle as a bundle. A package price and a room only price for the same hotel are not the same product, so do not compare the two columns as if they were.

The Gateway Center hotels: the SkyTrain cluster

The Gateway Center stop is the simplest arrival at ATL. The ATL Airport District states the SkyTrain is free, needs no ticket or pass, arrives every two minutes, and runs every 10 minutes between 11:00 pm and 4:00 am. Its listed Gateway Center hotels are the AC Hotel, Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway, Home2 Suites, Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway, SpringHill Suites and Tru by Hilton, alongside the Georgia International Convention Center and Gateway Center Arena. The same source states the Rental Car Center, the next stop, also operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway is the anchor property. Marriott describes 403 soundproofed guest rooms, an indoor saltwater pool, a 24 hour fitness center and a walkway to the Georgia International Convention Center. Its own directions are specific: go to baggage claim, exit toward the Rental Car Center, take the SkyTrain, and get off at the first stop. From the International Terminal, Marriott tells guests to collect luggage, exit the airport and take the free shuttle from the curb to the Domestic Terminal SkyTrain entrance. That extra step matters for late international arrivals, and it applies to every Gateway hotel, not just this one.

SpringHill Suites Atlanta Airport Gateway is the value pick inside the cluster for families. Marriott lists it at 0.9 miles from ATL, one SkyTrain stop away, with a free breakfast buffet. The catch for early departures is in Marriott’s own amenity list: free buffet and hot breakfast runs Monday to Friday 6:30 am to 9:00 am and Saturday to Sunday 7:00 am to 9:30 am. If your flight leaves at 6:00 am, that breakfast is not part of your stay in any practical sense.

Renaissance Concourse is a different Renaissance from the Gateway one, and confusing the two is a common booking mistake at ATL. The Concourse hotel sits on the north side at One Hartsfield Center Parkway, 1.0 mile from ATL per Marriott’s FAQ. Its draw is the runway view: Marriott describes luxury suites offering views of the Atlanta Airport runways, and reviewers and the Eye of the Flyer review describe balcony rooms overlooking a Delta aircraft pad, with planes landing and taking off in view. It uses a road shuttle, not the SkyTrain, so allow for the timetable rather than a train every two minutes.

Kimpton Overland is the non airport feeling option that is still close. Its own site says the rooftop observation deck and lounge gives panoramic views of the Porsche Experience Track and planes landing at Atlanta Airport, and the Porsche Experience Center is right next door at One Porsche Drive per IHG’s local guide. The hotel lists self parking from $30 per night and a free airport shuttle from 5:00 am to 1:00 am. That 5:00 am start is the latest first shuttle among the hotels in the table, which is why it suits a layover or a late arrival better than a dawn departure.

For the Virginia Avenue corridor, Drury Inn and Suites stands out on included value rather than brand. Drury’s own page lists a free airport shuttle from 4:00 am to 2:00 am, free hot breakfast served 6:00 am to 9:30 am on weekdays and 7:00 am to 10:00 am on weekends, and its free 5:30 Kickback with hot food and cold beverages every day. Holiday Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport North is the corridor’s true all night option: IHG describes a complimentary airport shuttle and a hotel less than 2 miles from the airport, and the Way.com parking listing for the property states pickups are only from the Domestic side, with International Terminal arrivals told to cross to the Domestic side first.

Park, sleep and fly at ATL, with the real math

Park, sleep and fly means you drive to an airport hotel the night before, sleep there, leave the car at the hotel while you travel, and ride the hotel shuttle both ways. Our full explainer is at park, sleep and fly. At ATL the comparison only makes sense against the airport’s own published rates, so here are those rates first, from ATL’s official parking page at atl.com, checked November 2026:

    • Park Ride: $15 per day, so $105 for 7 days
    • ATL Select uncovered: $15 per day, so $105 for 7 days. Covered is $20 per day, so $140 for 7 days
    • Economy: $20 per day, so $140 for 7 days
    • Daily: $30 per day, so $210 for 7 days
    • ATL West Deck: $30 per day, so $210 for 7 days
    • International Park Ride: $30 per day, so $210 for 7 days

Now the package side. Drury Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport offers a Stay and Fly Package that, in Explore Georgia’s listing of the hotel, offers free parking at the hotel for up to seven days with a minimum one night stay. Explore Georgia lists the hotel’s rate bands as $101 to $150 and $151 to $200. Trip.com listed rooms from $111.

The seven day comparison, using the $111 starting room price:

    • Drury Stay and Fly: $111 for the night, plus $0 for seven days of parking, equals $111 total
    • ATL Park Ride or ATL Select uncovered, parking only: $105 total, and you still drive in on flight day
    • ATL Economy, parking only: $140 total
    • ATL Daily or ATL West Deck, parking only: $210 total

The honest verdict: at its cheapest official lots, ATL parking alone is hard to beat on price alone, and $105 for seven days at Park Ride is $6 less than the Drury starting room price. The package wins against Economy by $29 and against the Daily and West decks by $99, and in every case the package also buys you the night before, the 4:00 am to 2:00 am shuttle, free hot breakfast and the evening Kickback. If you were going to book an airport hotel the night before anyway, the Drury package is the clear winner, because the seven days of parking add nothing to the room bill. If you live close to ATL and only need parking, Park Ride at $15 a day is the cheaper product.

Two package traps to avoid at ATL. First, the Gateway Center hotels are the worst place in this guide to leave a car on a room only rate. Marriott lists self parking at Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway at $47 per day, and at SpringHill Suites Gateway at $47 per day, with SpringHill extended parking at $25 per day listed by Expedia. Seven nights at $47 is $329 in parking alone, before the room. If you drive to a Gateway hotel, buy a package rate that explicitly includes parking, such as the ParkSleepHotels listings in the table at $319 to $339, or park at the airport instead. Second, package prices on listing sites are starting prices for specific dates. ParkSleepHotels listed ATL packages from $109 for Holiday Inn Express Atlanta Airport College Park and $127 for Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport South up to $359 for Hilton Atlanta Airport, checked November 2026. Confirm how many parking days a given package includes before you book, because the listing pages read for this guide did not state a day count for most properties. Drury is the exception cited above, where seven days is stated in writing.

If your trip starts at another hub, the same math is in our guides to LAX airport hotels, London Heathrow airport hotels and JFK airport hotels.

Layover and day rooms at ATL

If you are connecting through ATL and do not want to leave security, Minute Suites is the in terminal option. Its own ATL page lists locations in Concourse B near Gate B24, Concourse E and Concourse F near Gate F6, all past TSA security, so no exit and re entry is needed. Each suite includes a daybed sofa with a pull out trundle bed, a smart TV, complimentary WiFi, sound masking, a workspace surface and charging ports, with pillows and blankets on request. Private showers are at the Concourse E location only, per Minute Suites, and that location is described as being in the international terminal area.

Minute Suites does not publish a price on its own ATL location page, which we checked for this guide. Sleeping in Airports, which tracks Minute Suites across airports, lists rates as of February 2025 at $65 per hour, an overnight rate of $215 for eight hours, showers at $20 for 30 minutes when added to a minimum one hour stay, or $30 for 30 minutes without a suite rental. Atlanta Magazine’s October 2025 feature on the ATL locations also put the price at about $65 an hour. Treat $65 an hour as the planning figure, checked November 2026 against those two sources, and confirm the live price when you book, because a four hour nap at that rate is $260, which is more than most full hotel nights in the table above.

For a longer layover where leaving the airport is worth it, two verified day use routes exist. The Atlanta Airport Hotel guide lists Sonesta Atlanta Airport South as a 190 room hotel with a Day Use Pass for long layovers and a free hourly shuttle to the Domestic Terminal. Dayuse, which sells daytime hotel rooms, lists day hotels near ATL in College Park, East Point and Hapeville, states that most are less than 10 minutes from the terminals with free or low cost shuttles, and states that its day rates are typically 30 to 70 percent lower than standard overnight rates, with payment at the hotel and free cancellation. Dayuse did not publish a specific ATL day rate on the page read for this guide, so no day rate is quoted here. Our wider explainer is at airport day rooms.

The practical rule at ATL: for a layover under about four hours, stay airside and price a Minute Suite or rest at the gate. For a layover long enough to shower, sleep flat and eat outside the concourse, a day room or the cheapest overnight room in College Park or on Virginia Avenue will usually cost less per hour than Minute Suites, at the price of two trips through the shuttle and security routine.

Early flights: shuttles, SkyTrain hours, and traps

The ATL SkyTrain is the strongest early flight tool at this airport. The ATL Airport District states it runs at any time of day or night, free of charge, every two minutes, and every 10 minutes between 11:00 pm and 4:00 am. The same source warns that MARTA trains, which share the Airport Station area, take a break overnight, so do not plan a pre dawn trip to the airport around MARTA. A Gateway Center hotel plus the SkyTrain removes the shuttle timetable from a 6:00 am departure entirely.

Among road shuttles in this guide, the verified start times are:

    • 24 hours: Holiday Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport North, free shuttle every 30 minutes, Domestic Terminal only
    • 4:00 am to 2:00 am: Drury Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport, free, per Drury’s own page
    • 4:00 am to 2:00 am: Hilton Atlanta Airport, free, per the Atlanta Airport Hotel guide
    • 5:00 am to 1:00 am: Kimpton Overland, free, per the hotel’s own amenities page

The traps, all supported by the sources above:

    1. The International Terminal trap. Most hotel shuttles in this guide serve the Domestic Terminal only. The ATL Airport District states that International Terminal passengers must exit the airport and take the complimentary shuttle from the curb to the west end of the Domestic Terminal, next to the SkyTrain entrance and the hotel shuttle pickup area. Marriott gives the same instruction for its Gateway hotel. Budget that transfer into a late arrival or an early international departure.
    2. The 5:00 am shuttle trap. Kimpton Overland’s free shuttle does not start until 5:00 am, and its last run is 1:00 am. It is a poor base for a flight that requires you at the terminal well before 5:00 am, however good the hotel is the night before.
    3. The breakfast trap. Free breakfast does not help a dawn flight at several hotels. SpringHill Suites Gateway serves its free buffet from 6:30 am on weekdays, and Drury serves hot breakfast from 6:00 am on weekdays. Both are after the departure time of the earliest ATL flights.
    4. The Gateway parking trap. As set out above, Gateway hotels charge $47 a day for self parking on Marriott’s own pages. Fly in and ride the SkyTrain, and they are the best located hotels at ATL. Drive in without a parking package, and they are the most expensive place to leave a car in this guide.
    5. The two Renaissances trap. Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway is on the SkyTrain at Gateway Center. Renaissance Concourse is a separate hotel on the north side that uses a road shuttle. Booking one while expecting the transport of the other is an easy and costly mistake.

    FAQ

Is there a hotel inside Atlanta airport?

No. ATL has no hotel inside its terminal buildings, past security or landside. The closest equivalent is the Gateway Center cluster, reached by the free ATL SkyTrain from the Domestic Terminal. Inside the secure area, the only bookable sleep product is Minute Suites, with locations in Concourses B, E and F.

Which ATL airport hotels do not need a shuttle bus?

The Gateway Center hotels use the free ATL SkyTrain instead of a road shuttle. The ATL Airport District lists the AC Hotel, Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway, Home2 Suites, Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway, SpringHill Suites and Tru by Hilton at the Gateway Center stop, one stop from the Domestic Terminal. WalkToAirport puts the total at 8 to 12 minutes from baggage claim to the hotel, including the roughly two minute train ride and the walk from the platform.

How much does it cost to park at ATL for 7 days?

Using ATL’s official rates at atl.com, checked November 2026, seven days costs $105 at Park Ride or ATL Select uncovered at $15 a day, $140 at Economy or ATL Select covered at $20 a day, and $210 at Daily, ATL West Deck or International Park Ride at $30 a day. Hourly parking, at a $50 maximum for the first day and $75 a day after that, is not a long stay product.

Do ATL hotel shuttles pick up at the International Terminal?

Often, no. Multiple sources read for this guide, including the ATL Airport District, the Atlanta Airport Hotel guide and Way.com’s Holiday Inn listing, describe hotel shuttles serving the Domestic Terminal, with International Terminal passengers taking the airport’s free terminal shuttle to the Domestic side first. Confirm your hotel’s pickup point before you land, especially on a late international arrival.

What is the cheapest hotel near ATL with a free shuttle?

In the checks for this guide, La Quinta Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport South had the lowest typical nightly range, $55 to $77 on Google Hotels, with a free 24 hour shuttle described by Wyndham. The next step up was Holiday Inn and Suites Atlanta Airport North, from $69 on KAYAK, with a free shuttle every 30 minutes around the clock to the Domestic Terminal.

How much does Minute Suites cost at ATL?

Minute Suites does not publish the price on its own ATL page. Sleeping in Airports lists Minute Suites rates as of February 2025 at $65 per hour and $215 for an eight hour overnight stay, and Atlanta Magazine reported about $65 an hour in October 2025. At $65 an hour, any stay of four hours or more costs more than a night at the cheaper hotels in the table above.

JFK Airport Hotels: Where to Sleep, What It Costs, and Which Shuttle Actually Runs

The only hotel on JFK Airport itself is the TWA Hotel, connected to Terminal 5, with overnight stays from $249 and day rooms from $149, checked November 2026. Every other hotel near JFK sits off airport in Jamaica, Queens, and reaches the terminals by a free shuttle from the Federal Circle AirTrain station, not from the terminal curb. Prices checked November 2026 run from $146 a night at the Comfort Inn JFK Airport to $469 for a three day park, stay and fly package at the most expensive listing we read. That split, one hotel you can walk to and everything else a shuttle ride away, decides almost every JFK overnight.

The one rule that shapes every JFK hotel choice

Hotel shuttles are not allowed in the central terminal area at JFK. The airport itself says so, and the TWA Hotel repeats it on its own FAQ page. JFK directs every hotel guest to one place: take the AirTrain to Federal Circle, which is the designated hotel shuttle pickup and drop off area, and meet your hotel shuttle there.

The AirTrain leg that gets you there costs nothing. JFK states that the AirTrain is free when traveling between terminals, ride app pickup areas and airport parking lots, and it charges $8.75 only when entering or exiting at Jamaica Station or Howard Beach Station for city transit. Trains run every 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the JFK page you read, and travel between terminals takes under 10 minutes.

That routine adds real time. You land, clear the terminal, ride the AirTrain to Federal Circle, wait for a shuttle that may run every 30 minutes or only once an hour, then ride to a hotel about 10 minutes away by shuttle. Budget 30 to 45 minutes from terminal to hotel bed on a good run, and more if you just miss an hourly shuttle. Anyone selling you a JFK hotel as a five minute trip is counting only the drive, not the AirTrain, not the wait, and not the walk.

The TWA Hotel is the exception. It sits behind the restored 1962 TWA Flight Center at Terminal 5, it has 512 rooms, and you reach it on foot from Terminal 5 or by free AirTrain from every other terminal. It is landside, outside the secure zone, so international arrivals clear immigration and customs first, and every departure goes back through security.

A note on two names in the original JFK hotel lists that we have left out of the main table. The Radisson Hotel JFK Airport at 135-30 140th Street is not a separate choice today. ParkingAccess, citing the hotel owner release, states that Vista Hospitality Group and Amaya Hospitality reopened that address as the DoubleTree by Hilton New York JFK Airport on November 1, 2024, after a renovation, and Choice Hotels lists the Radisson at that address as permanently closed. Days Inn by Wyndham Jamaica JFK Airport is listed by Wyndham search results as permanently closed, even though older package sites still sell it. We do not send readers to a hotel that its own brand lists as closed, so both names appear here as a warning, not as recommendations. The Holiday Inn JFK properties show the same pattern on IHG search results, with more than one listing marked permanently closed, so we have not priced them either.

Park, sleep and fly at JFK, with real math

Park, sleep and fly means one hotel night bundled with parking at the hotel while you travel, plus the shuttle both ways. At JFK it wins or loses against one number: what the airport itself charges to park for the same trip.

JFK official parking, from jfkairport.com as reported by ParkingAccess on October 22, 2026:

    • Long Term Parking Lot, at the Lefferts Boulevard AirTrain station: $45 a day drive up, or from $35 a day if prebooked at least 3 hours ahead.
    • Terminal 8 Red Lot: $70 a day drive up, from $56 prebooked.
    • Terminal 5 Yellow Lot: $75 a day drive up, from $59 prebooked.
    • Terminal 4 Blue Lot: $82 a day drive up, from $66 prebooked.

For 7 days, the Long Term Parking Lot alone costs $315 drive up, which is $45 times 7, or from $245 prebooked, which is $35 times 7. A terminal garage for 7 days costs $490 to $574 drive up.

Now the package side, from Stay Park Travel listings we read, checked November 2026:

    • Best Western JFK Airport Hotel: $229 for a 7 day park, stay and fly package.
    • Sleep Inn JFK Airport Rockaway Boulevard: $259 for a 7 day package, 0.8 miles from the airport on that listing.
    • Holiday Inn Express Kennedy Airport: $309 for a 7 day package on that listing. Treat this one with care for the closure reason above and confirm the hotel is trading before you pay.

The math for the Best Western package is plain. $229 for the package, against $315 for 7 days in the Long Term Parking Lot at the drive up rate, saves $86 and includes the hotel night and the shuttle. Against the prebooked Long Term rate of $245, the same package saves $16 and still includes the hotel night. Against a terminal garage at $490 to $574 for 7 days, it saves $261 to $345.

The package does not always win. If you prebook the Long Term Lot, travel for only 2 or 3 days, and do not need a hotel night, parking alone is cheaper than any package we read. The shortest packages we read were $369 for 2 days at the Marriott and $359 to $469 for 3 days at several hotels, all well above 3 days of Long Term parking at $135 drive up or $105 prebooked. Park, sleep and fly at JFK is a 7 day play and an early flight play. It is not a weekend play.

Two more costs to count before you call a package cheap. First, hotel valet and hotel self parking for guests who are not on a package can erase the saving: DoubleTree valet parking was listed by Hilton at $56 including New York City taxes, Hilton Garden Inn self parking was listed at $45 a day, and Fairfield parking was listed at $45 a day. Second, oversized vehicles pay more at hotel lots: DoubleTree park and fly charged $15 a day extra for oversized vehicles on the ParkingAccess listing we read, which added $105 to a 7 day total.

Layover and day rooms at JFK

A day room is a hotel room sold for daytime hours, for sleep, a shower and quiet between flights, without an overnight stay. Our wider explainer is at airport day rooms.

The strongest day room at JFK is inside the airport. The TWA Hotel sells Daytripper stays and day rooms in four windows listed by Sleeping in Airports: 7:00 am to 11:00 am, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm. Day rooms start at $149. A second JFK hotel guide we read describes the Daytripper stay as bookable by the hour between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, for a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 12 hours, non refundable and not changeable. The TWA Hotel site itself pitches the Daytripper for a long layover or a late flight out, to swim, dine, exercise or relax, and its rooftop pool is open year round and heated up to 95 degrees in winter. Because the hotel is landside, a day room only works if you can legally enter the United States and have time to clear security again for your next flight.

Off airport, Dayuse listings we read showed real day rates below the nightly rate at the same hotel:

    • Courtyard New York JFK Airport: $109 for a day stay on Dayuse, against $249 a night on the same listing, a 57 percent saving as listed.
    • Hilton Garden Inn Queens JFK Airport: $109 for a day stay on a Dayuse search result we read, against $399 a night on that result.

HotelsByDay, which sells day use rooms near JFK, puts the general day use range at $60 to $120 for 4 to 6 hours in its JFK layover guide, and lists airport lounges at $59 to $79 as the alternative for a shorter stop. Use a lounge for 2 to 4 hours, a day room for a layover over 4 hours when you need real sleep, and the TWA Hotel when you do not want the AirTrain and shuttle routine in the middle of a connection.

There are no sleep pods inside JFK on the sources we read. HotelsByDay states plainly that JFK does not have sleep pods. If a listing promises pods at JFK, it is selling you a nearby hotel room under another name.

Early flights: which shuttles run at 4:00 am, and the traps

For a 6:00 am flight, you need to be at the terminal early, which means leaving a Jamaica hotel at about 4:00 am or earlier, after the AirTrain and shuttle time above. Only a 24 hour shuttle protects that departure.

Shuttles verified as 24 hours on the sources we read:

    • Marriott New York JFK Airport: free, 24 hours, every 30 minutes.
    • DoubleTree by Hilton New York JFK Airport: free, 24 hours, every 30 minutes.
    • Residence Inn New York JFK Airport: free, 24 hours, every 30 minutes.
    • Courtyard New York JFK Airport: free, 24 hours, pickup on request from Federal Circle.
    • Best Western JFK Airport Hotel: free, 24 hours, per Expedia and Reservations.com listings.

The traps are specific, and each one comes from a listing we read:

    • Fairfield Inn runs its complimentary shuttle from 4:00 am to midnight, every hour on the hour. For a 6:00 am flight, the 4:00 am shuttle is the only one that fits, and missing it costs a full hour. There is no 3:00 am or 3:30 am option.
    • Hilton Garden Inn runs its free shuttle from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. A 5:00 am shuttle does not serve a 6:00 am departure with any safety margin, once the AirTrain return and security are counted.
    • Hampton Inn has the sharpest conflict we found. Some listings call its shuttle free and 24 hours, while its ParkSleepFly announcement says 5:00 am to 11:00 pm, hourly at the top of the hour, with pickup at Federal Circle. Do not book Hampton for a dawn flight until the hotel confirms the shuttle hour for your date in writing.
    • Hourly is not frequent. Holiday Inn listings we read describe a shuttle that departs every hour on the top of the hour from the hotel to JFK, and Hampton and Fairfield show the same hourly pattern on the listings above. An hourly shuttle turns a small delay into a missed flight window, so set an alarm for the shuttle, not for the flight.
    • The pickup is Federal Circle, not your terminal. Returning guests for the DoubleTree are told to call the hotel after collecting bags, ride the AirTrain to Federal Circle, and wait at the Free Hotel Shuttle Pick Up sign. ParkingAccess reviewers still described return waits of 40 to 45 minutes at the DoubleTree in two of three reviews it published, even with a shuttle scheduled every 30 minutes. Build that wait into a tight return connection to your car.

If your flight leaves before 7:00 am and your hotel shuttle starts at 4:00 am or 5:00 am, the safer choices are the TWA Hotel, where you walk to Terminal 5, or a verified 24 hour shuttle hotel, where a 3:30 am departure exists at all.

How JFK compares with other big airport overnights

The JFK pattern, one on airport hotel plus a shuttle cluster behind one AirTrain stop, is not the pattern everywhere. Los Angeles spreads its hotels along Century Boulevard with direct hotel shuttles, which we cover in our LAX airport hotels guide. London Heathrow mixes on airport hotels at specific terminals with a large off airport ring, covered in our LHR airport hotels guide. Atlanta puts a hotel inside its domestic terminal and a SkyTrain cluster beside it, covered in our ATL airport hotels guide. JFK sits between those models: better than a pure shuttle town because the TWA Hotel exists, harder than Atlanta because every other choice starts with an AirTrain ride to Federal Circle.

Frequently asked questions about JFK airport hotels

Is there a hotel inside JFK Airport?

Yes. The TWA Hotel is the only hotel on JFK Airport itself. It sits in the historic TWA Flight Center, connected to Terminal 5, and the AirTrain reaches it in about 5 minutes from any terminal. It is landside, so you exit the terminal, and international passengers clear customs and immigration before reaching it.

Can I walk from my hotel to my JFK terminal?

Only from the TWA Hotel, and only to Terminal 5, through the Flight Center connection. For every other terminal, take the free AirTrain. For every off airport hotel, you cannot walk in any practical sense: you ride the AirTrain to Federal Circle and take the hotel shuttle, which is the route JFK itself publishes.

Where do I get the free hotel shuttle at JFK?

At Federal Circle. JFK states that most hotels near JFK provide free shuttle service to and from JFK, which you find by taking the AirTrain to Federal Circle, and its AirTrain page calls Federal Circle the designated hotel shuttle pickup and drop off area. The AirTrain ride to Federal Circle from a terminal is free. The $8.75 AirTrain fare applies only at Jamaica and Howard Beach stations.

Can I rent a JFK hotel room for just a few hours?

Yes. The TWA Hotel Daytripper stay lets you book a room by the hour, with day rooms listed from $149 and windows from a 4 hour block to a 12 hour block at 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Off airport, Dayuse listed the Courtyard JFK at $109 for a day stay and the Hilton Garden Inn JFK at $109 for a day stay on the listings we read, both below the nightly rate at the same hotel.

How much does it cost to park at JFK for 7 days?

At the airport, $315 drive up in the Long Term Parking Lot at $45 a day, or from $245 if prebooked at $35 a day, and $490 to $574 in a terminal garage. A 7 day park, stay and fly package at the Best Western JFK Airport Hotel was listed at $229, which is less than the Long Term Lot alone at either rate, and it includes a hotel night and shuttle.

What is the cheapest hotel near JFK Airport?

On the listings we read for November 2026, the Comfort Inn JFK Airport was listed from $146 a night on Trip.com, with Hampton Inn NY JFK from $163 on the same site and Fairfield Inn from $177. The TWA Hotel, the convenient option, was listed from $249 overnight and from $313 to $344 on Trip.com searches. Cheapest at JFK still means a Federal Circle shuttle for every option except the TWA Hotel.

Prices checked November 2026. Hotel prices, shuttle hours and parking rates change by date and by demand, and JFK parking changed more than once in 2026 on the sources we read. Confirm the shuttle start time for your flight time, the package parking days included, and the total with taxes before you pay.

Heathrow Airport Hotels: Where to Sleep, What It Costs, and How to Reach Your Terminal

The closest hotel to Heathrow is Aerotel, inside Terminal 3 arrivals. Sofitel is the only hotel connected to Terminal 5, Hilton Garden Inn is the walkable hotel for Terminals 2 and 3, and four hotels share a covered walkway to Terminal 4. No Heathrow hotel shuttle is free. The paid Hotel Hoppa costs £7 for a single ticket, and Premier Inn Terminal 4, at £70 to £110 a night, is the cheapest walkable option.

Prices checked November 2026. Hotel prices in this guide are typical nightly ranges for a standard room, taken from the sources listed at the end. Prices move with dates, so treat every range as a planning figure and confirm the total for your exact night before you book.

    Quick answer box

    • Closest hotel to the terminals: Aerotel London Heathrow, inside Terminal 3 arrivals hall, landside. Booked by the hour, £65 for a Solo Plus room for up to 6 hours in a recent paid stay. Checked November 2026.
    • Cheapest decent option: Premier Inn London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, £70 to £110 a night, with a covered walkway of about 10 minutes to Terminal 4. Checked November 2026.
    • Best free shuttle option: There is none. Heathrow hotels do not run free shuttles, and the shared Hotel Hoppa is paid. Heathrow lists a single at £7 and a return at £13. The cheaper paid alternative is a local TfL bus on Bath Road at £1.85 a ride from 1 November 2026. Checked November 2026.
    • Best terminal connected option: Sofitel London Heathrow for Terminal 5, £220 to £400 a night, five minutes to the terminal on a covered walkway. For Terminals 2 and 3, use Hilton Garden Inn Terminals 2 and 3 at £130 to £250. Checked November 2026.

    Heathrow hotels compared

Hotel Distance to airport or terminal Shuttle Typical nightly price
Aerotel London Heathrow Inside Terminal 3 arrivals hall, about a 10 minute walk to Terminal 2 None needed, you are inside the terminal. Landside only, so you must clear the UK border to reach it By the hour, £65 for up to 6 hours in a Solo Plus room, £75 for a Double Plus room in the same paid stay
Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 Connected to Terminal 2, walk of about 5 minutes to Terminal 2 and about 8 minutes to Terminal 3 by underpass None needed for Terminals 2 and 3, walk instead £130 to £250
Sofitel London Heathrow Connected to Terminal 5, 5 minute covered walkway None needed for Terminal 5, walk instead £220 to £400
Premier Inn London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 About a 10 minute covered walk to Terminal 4 None needed for Terminal 4, walk instead. Hoppa and free inter terminal trains cover other terminals £70 to £110
Holiday Inn Express London Heathrow T4 5 minute covered walk to Terminal 4, shares a building with Crowne Plaza T4 None needed for Terminal 4, walk instead £80 to £120
Crowne Plaza London Heathrow T4 Covered bridge or walkway to Terminal 4 in about 3 to 5 minutes None needed for Terminal 4, walk instead £130 to £200
Hilton London Heathrow Airport, Terminal 4 7 minutes to Terminal 4 on a covered walkway, per Hilton None needed for Terminal 4, walk instead £150 to £250
Thistle London Heathrow Terminal 5 Bath Road, Longford, near Terminal 5. Driverless POD ride of 5 minutes to Terminal 5 No free shuttle. POD costs £8 per person each way and runs from 4am to 12.15am. Hoppa also stops at the hotel £70 to £110
Radisson Blu Edwardian Heathrow 140 Bath Road, about 1 mile from the airport, for Terminals 2 and 3 via Hoppa Paid Hotel Hoppa only, £7 single on the Heathrow fare list. Routes H2D and H2R serve the hotel for Terminals 2 and 3, and H5D serves Terminal 5 £130 to £200
Renaissance London Heathrow Bath Road, backing onto the airport perimeter, for Terminals 2, 3 and 5 via Hoppa No hotel shuttle of its own, per Marriott. Paid Hotel Hoppa only, £7 single. Dedicated routes H2X to Terminals 2 and 3 and H5X to Terminal 5 £150 to £250

Two warnings belong with that table. First, Bath Road is a road, not a terminal. A Bath Road hotel that looks close on a map still needs a bus, a POD, or a taxi to reach check in. Second, the headline room price is not the full cost for a Bath Road stay. Add £7 per adult for a Hoppa single, or £1.85 per adult for a local bus, for each leg you actually ride.

If you are driving and leaving the car, compare a bundled stay with parking against booking the room and parking apart. Our park, sleep and fly guide explains how those packages work. At Heathrow specifically, Sofitel lists parking packages for 4, 8 and 15 days, and Hilton Terminal 4 lists packages for 15 and 21 days booked direct, according to the comparison source used for this guide.

Terminal by terminal: how access actually works

    Terminals 2 and 3

Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 is the only hotel connected to Terminal 2. Hilton calls it the only hotel connected to Terminal 2, and the comparison sources put the walk at about 5 minutes to Terminal 2 and about 8 minutes to Terminal 3 through a pedestrian underpass. Head for Points adds a practical detail the marketing omits: from Terminal 2 you walk through the short stay car park to reach it, and Terminal 3 is a little further. The hotel has a rooftop Runway Bar, per Hilton and guest reviews of the property.

Aerotel is the other true on site option for this pair of terminals, and it sits inside Terminal 3 itself. Its own site says it is in the Terminal 3 arrivals hall, a few steps from Terminal 3 check in desks, and within walking distance of Terminal 2 and the Heathrow Express. Its own FAQ puts Terminal 2 at about a 10 minute walk by the covered pedestrian walkway. It is landside, outside the restricted area, and its FAQ is explicit that you cannot stay airside and walk to it. You must enter the UK side of the border first.

Every other hotel for Terminals 2 and 3 sits on or near Bath Road and relies on transport. Hotel Hoppa routes for Terminals 2 and 3 are H2B, H2C, H2D, H2H, H2P, H2R and H2X. In plain terms, H2C serves ibis Styles London Heathrow Airport and the Premier Inn on Bath Road, H2D and H2R serve Radisson Blu, and H2X serves only the Renaissance. That dedicated H2X route is why the Renaissance, despite having no shuttle of its own, has one of the simpler Hoppa patterns on Bath Road.

The cheaper way off Bath Road is a red TfL bus. Routes 105 and 111 run from the Central Bus Station between Terminals 2 and 3 and stop near several Bath Road hotels. TfL lists the adult pay as you go bus fare at £1.85 from 1 November 2026, with unlimited bus and tram journeys inside one hour under the Hopper fare. Buses stop on the road, not at the hotel door, so this suits light luggage better than a family with large cases.

One more option sits just outside the airport fence. Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Airport at Hatton Cross is a 3 to 4 minute walk from Hatton Cross Underground station, per Head for Points, and trains from that station reach the terminals in minutes. The same source warns that the walk is short but not the easiest, and is not recommended with heavy suitcases, and that Hatton Cross station has no escalator or lift. Check the first train time before relying on it for a dawn departure.

    Terminal 4

Terminal 4 is the best served terminal at Heathrow for hotels, and it is not close. Four hotels share the same covered walkway system from the terminal, so you can choose on price and still walk to check in.

Premier Inn Terminal 4 describes itself as a 10 minute walk from Terminal 4 and is the budget pick of the four at £70 to £110. Holiday Inn Express Terminal 4 describes a 5 minute stroll by covered walkway, includes its Express Start breakfast in the rate, and sits at £80 to £120. Crowne Plaza Terminal 4 shares a building with that Holiday Inn Express, so guests can cross charge between the two, per Head for Points, and sits at £130 to £200. Hilton London Heathrow Airport says to find it seven minutes from Terminal 4 by covered walkway, and sits at £150 to £250.

Do not plan on a Hoppa bus at Terminal 4. Heathrow states plainly on its hotel buses page that Hotel Hoppa buses do not currently serve the Terminal 4 forecourt. Holiday Extras lists an HHL Hoppa route linking the Terminal 4 hotels with Terminals 2, 3 and 5, which is a different job: it moves you between terminals, it does not replace the walkway at Terminal 4 itself. If you land at Terminal 4 and sleep on Bath Road, or land elsewhere and sleep at a Terminal 4 hotel, use the free inter terminal trains described below and then walk.

    Terminal 5

Sofitel London Heathrow is the only hotel directly attached to Terminal 5. Accor calls it the only luxury hotel connected to Terminal 5, a five minute stroll along a covered walkway, with 605 bedrooms and suites, a spa, and 21 minutes to Paddington by Heathrow Express. That walkway is the whole reason to pay £220 to £400. For a Terminal 5 flight before 7am, no other option removes as much risk from the morning.

Thistle London Heathrow Terminal 5 is the budget alternative for this terminal, at £70 to £110, but it is not walkable. Its link is the driverless POD from the Terminal 5 business car park area, a 5 minute ride that Holiday Extras prices at £8 per person each way, running from 4am to 12.15am. Note what that maths does to a family: four POD singles cost £32, on top of the room. Holiday Extras also notes the hotel can arrange a taxi at £12 to £20, taking 10 to 20 minutes depending on the terminal, which can beat four POD or Hoppa singles.

Other Terminal 5 hotels use Hoppa routes H5B, H5C, H5D, H5H and H5X. H5H serves Hilton Terminal 5 and the B and B Hotel, and H5X serves the Renaissance. None of those buses is free, whatever the word shuttle suggests to visitors used to American airports.

    Moving between terminals for free

If your hotel sits at the wrong terminal, the transfer itself does not have to cost money. Heathrow Express states that travel between Heathrow terminals is free of charge if you tap in and out with Oyster or contactless, or collect a free terminal transfer ticket from a dedicated machine in each Heathrow station. Heathrow itself says you can travel between terminals using free transport. Allow real time for it. The comparison sources put inter terminal moves at 20 to 30 minutes once walking, waiting and luggage are counted, which is why matching the hotel to your departure terminal still matters more than any single amenity.

Layover and day rooms: sleeping for a few hours

Aerotel is built for this job. Sleeping in Airports lists it as offering short stay bookings in 6, 9 and 12 hour blocks, plus overnight stays, in the Terminal 3 arrivals hall on the ground floor, landside. Aerotel itself sells Solo Plus, Double Plus and Family rooms, promotes flexible hourly booking where you choose your own check in and check out times, and lists a library lounge. In a paid day use stay reviewed in November 2025, a Solo Plus room for up to 6 hours cost £65, and a Double Plus room for the same hours cost £75. The same review found that stays over 6 hours switched to an overnight rate of over £200, so the value sits in the short block, not in stretching it.

That same reviewer priced the alternative at Hilton Garden Inn Terminals 2 and 3: a day rate from 9am to 5pm, 8 hours, at £99, with no shorter package offered when they asked. If you want a full size room, a desk, and a proper bathroom for a daytime layover at Terminals 2 or 3, that is the comparison to make. For a wider explanation of how airport day rooms work and when they beat a full night, see our airport day rooms guide.

Now the correction that matters most in this section. Many older guides still send Terminal 4 travellers to YOTELAIR, the cabin hotel inside Terminal 4. Do not book around it. Head for Points, updated in September 2026, states that the YOTEL hotel which used to be in Terminal 4 is closed, and a Heathrow hotel directory records YOTELAIR Terminal 4 as closed in 2024. There is no in terminal cabin hotel at Terminal 4 to fall back on. Your Terminal 4 layover choices are the four walkway hotels in the table, booked as a night or as a day use room where the hotel offers one.

All Heathrow hotel rooms, including Aerotel, are landside. Sleeping in Airports is explicit that you need to clear immigration to access them, and it carries Heathrow customer service guidance from July 2026 saying passengers should not expect to stay overnight in the airport and will need to go landside to a nearby hotel, passing through the UK border. If your passport or visa status does not let you enter the UK, a landside hotel is not a plan. Check your transit position before you rely on any hotel in this guide for a connection.

Early flights: first buses, first trains, and the traps

The Hotel Hoppa timetable is the trap. Heathrow lists Hoppa operating hours as 04:00 to 00:00, while Holiday Extras describes the service as running daily from 04:00 to 23:00 and states directly that the Hoppa does not operate overnight, so a very early or very late flight may need a taxi instead. On the dedicated H2X route, the Hotel Hoppa timetable valid from 31 March 2025 shows the first departure from the Renaissance at 04:24, then every 30 minutes, reaching Terminal 3 departures at 04:32 and Terminal 2 at 04:36. Work backwards from that. If you must be at Terminals 2 or 3 by 05:00 for a 06:00 flight, one specific bus at 04:24 is your whole plan, with no second chance inside the same half hour if you miss it or it fills.

Three rules follow from those times.

First, for a check in before about 05:30, book a walkway hotel at your own terminal and remove the bus from the plan entirely. That means Sofitel for Terminal 5, Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express for Terminal 4, and Hilton Garden Inn or Aerotel for Terminals 2 and 3.

Second, if you stay on Bath Road, read the timetable for your exact route number before you book the room, not after. Route letters matter: H2 routes go to Terminals 2 and 3, H5 routes go to Terminal 5, and a hotel can sit on one set and not the other at the hour you need.

Third, price the taxi before you dismiss it. Holiday Extras puts a taxi from most Heathrow hotels at £15 to £20 each way, against £7 per adult for a Hoppa single. For one person the Hoppa wins. For three or four adults with an early start, the taxi can cost about the same, leave when you choose, and go direct to your terminal, including Terminal 4, which the Hoppa forecourt service does not reach.

Breakfast timing is a smaller version of the same problem. Travellon notes that Holiday Inn Express Terminal 4 includes breakfast from 5am, which is useful for a 6am Terminal 4 departure. Thistle lists its breakfast service from 6am on weekdays and from 6am to 10.30am on weekends, per Holiday Extras, which is too late to help most dawn departures from Terminal 5. If breakfast is part of why you are paying for a hotel, check the start time against your check in time, not against a normal morning.

    Which area should you choose?

Choose Terminal 4 if price and choice matter most and your flight allows it. It is the only terminal with a budget walkway hotel, and the free inter terminal trains make it a workable base for other terminals if you allow the extra 20 to 30 minutes. Choose Terminal 5 only for a Terminal 5 flight, and choose Sofitel there only when the walkway itself is worth the premium to you. Choose Terminals 2 and 3 for Star Alliance and most other long haul departures, where Hilton Garden Inn gives you the walk and Aerotel gives you the shortest possible distance at a by the hour price.

If you are comparing Heathrow with a night in central London, remember that the airport hotels earn their money on timing, not on neighbourhood. There is nothing to do around Bath Road in the evening beyond the hotel itself. The gain is a later alarm, no train risk, and a walk or a single short bus ride in the morning.

Flying on from another hub after Heathrow? The same terminal matching logic applies in the United States. See our guides to Los Angeles airport hotels, New York JFK airport hotels, and Atlanta airport hotels for the equivalent walkway, shuttle and price breakdowns there.

    Frequently asked questions

Is the Heathrow hotel shuttle free?

No. Heathrow hotels do not run their own free shuttle buses, and the shared Hotel Hoppa is a paid service. Heathrow lists a single ticket at £7, a return at £13, a group single at £20 and a group return at £36, and says buses operate between 04:00 and 00:00 and do not currently serve the Terminal 4 forecourt. Any listing that describes a Heathrow hotel transfer as complimentary is describing the existence of a bus, not a free fare. The cheaper paid option for Bath Road hotels is a local TfL bus at £1.85 from 1 November 2026.

Which Heathrow hotel is closest to my terminal?

For Terminal 5, Sofitel, connected by a covered walkway of about five minutes. For Terminal 4, Premier Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and Hilton all connect by covered walkway, with walks of about 3 to 10 minutes depending on the property. For Terminal 2, Hilton Garden Inn Terminals 2 and 3, about 5 minutes. For Terminal 3, Aerotel, which is inside the arrivals hall itself, or Hilton Garden Inn by an underpass walk of about 8 minutes. Every other hotel in this guide needs a bus, a POD, or a taxi.

What is the cheapest hotel near Heathrow Airport?

On the ranges used in this guide, the cheapest walkable option is Premier Inn Terminal 4 at £70 to £110, and the cheapest Terminal 5 area option is Thistle Terminal 5 at the same £70 to £110 range, before you add £8 per person each way for the POD. Bath Road rooms can be advertised below walkway prices, but add £7 per adult for a Hoppa single or £1.85 for a local bus before you compare totals. The cheapest headline rate is often not the cheapest night once transfers for two people are counted.

Can I sleep in Heathrow Airport overnight instead of booking a hotel?

Do not plan on it. Sleeping in Airports reports Heathrow customer service guidance from July 2026 stating that it will not be possible for passengers to stay overnight in the airport, that all passengers will need to go landside to stay in a nearby hotel, and that this means passing through the UK border. It also notes that passengers should not expect to remain in airside areas overnight. If you cannot enter the UK, or your connection does not allow the time to go landside and return through security, raise that with your airline rather than assuming a terminal bench is available.

Can I book a Heathrow hotel for a few hours during a layover?

Yes, at Aerotel inside Terminal 3. It sells 6, 9 and 12 hour blocks as well as overnight stays, and a reviewed paid stay priced a Solo Plus room at £65 for up to 6 hours and a Double Plus room at £75 for the same period. Full size hotels also sell day use in some cases: the reviewed comparison at Hilton Garden Inn Terminals 2 and 3 was £99 for 9am to 5pm. Note that the Terminal 4 cabin hotel, YOTELAIR, is closed, so there is no equivalent by the hour cabin option at Terminal 4.

Does the Hotel Hoppa run early enough for a 6am flight?

Only just, and only on some routes, which is why it catches people out. The service starts at about 04:00 and does not run overnight. On the H2X route the first bus from the Renaissance leaves at 04:24 and reaches Terminal 2 at 04:36. That works for a 6am flight if everything runs to time and you are on that bus. It leaves no slack for a missed bus, a full bus, or a route that starts later. For a 6am departure, a walkway hotel at your own terminal is the safer booking, and a pre booked taxi is the safer Bath Road fallback.

LAS Airport Hotels: Free Shuttles, Real Prices and Park Sleep Fly Packages

    The short answer

There is no hotel inside Harry Reid International Airport, and the on-site sleep rooms closed permanently in March 2025. The closest hotels sit on Paradise Road, about a mile from the terminals, led by the Best Western McCarran Inn at typical rates of $65 to $88 a night. Most airport area hotels run free shuttles, but hours vary wildly: the closest hotel’s shuttle does not run before 6:15 AM. Official airport parking is cheap at $14 a day in Economy, so park sleep fly at LAS is about convenience, not big savings.

    Quick answer box

    Prices checked November 2026.

    Need Pick Why Price seen
Closest hotel to the terminals Best Western McCarran Inn, 4970 Paradise Rd Closest hotel cluster to LAS. Sources differ on distance, from 0.5 miles to 1.0 mile, so call it about a mile Typically $65 to $88 a night per Google Hotels; from $83 on KAYAK; $94 total for a sampled night on Hotels.com
Cheapest decent option DoubleTree by Hilton Las Vegas Airport, 7250 Pollock Dr Non-gaming Hilton about two miles from the airport with a complimentary 24-hour scheduled shuttle Deals from $77 on KAYAK; monthly averages run $115 in the cheapest month to $187 in the most expensive
Best free shuttle Hampton Inn and Suites Las Vegas Airport, 6575 S Eastern Ave Hilton lists a free shuttle available 24 hours, plus free hot breakfast and self parking at $7 a day From $85 a night on Hotels.com ($96 total for a sampled night); from $107 via AAA
Best park sleep fly option Best Western McCarran Inn ParkSleepFly and Triply list its packages with one night plus up to seven days of parking included. Just read the shuttle hours below before booking an early flight Room rates from $83; compare the package price against $98 for a week of airport Economy parking

If you only read one line: at LAS the room is rarely the problem. The shuttle schedule is. Pick your hotel by the first shuttle of the day, not by the lowest rate.

    Hotels near LAS compared

All prices below were seen in listings checked in November 2026. Las Vegas rates swing with conventions and event weekends, so treat these as the range to expect, not a quote.

Hotel Distance to LAS Shuttle Nightly price seen (checked Nov 2026)
Best Western McCarran Inn About 1 mile (sources range 0.5 to 1.0 mile) Included with packages, but limited hours: about 6:15 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Typically $65 to $88; from $83
La Quinta Inn and Suites Las Vegas Airport South About 1.9 miles Free 24-hour shuttle, praised in guest reviews From $89 on KAYAK; recent bookings $104 to $227
Tru by Hilton Las Vegas Airport About 1.5 miles (2.4 km) Complimentary 24-hour shuttle, but it runs once an hour at the top of the hour and is shared across three hotels $108 to $151, taxes included, on Rakuten Travel
Hampton Inn and Suites Las Vegas Airport About 2.0 miles (3.2 km) Free shuttle available 24 hours; self parking $7 a day; free hot breakfast $85 a night on Hotels.com; from $107 via AAA
Homewood Suites by Hilton Las Vegas Airport About 2 to 3 miles (Hilton sources differ) Complimentary 24-hour shuttle, running every hour $105 to $117 on Hotels.com
DoubleTree by Hilton Las Vegas Airport About 2 miles Complimentary 24-hour scheduled shuttle; on-site parking $12 a day From $77 on KAYAK; monthly averages $115 to $187
Hilton Garden Inn Las Vegas Strip South 2.9 miles Complimentary shuttle to and from the airport From $94 on KAYAK

Notice what is not on this list: the big Strip resorts. Most do not run free airport shuttles at all. The airport cluster south and east of the runways is a separate, quieter market of non-gaming hotels built for early flights, airline crews, and one-night stops. If you want the Strip, stay on the Strip and budget for a taxi or rideshare. If you want a 7 AM departure without stress, stay in the airport cluster and confirm the shuttle.

Park sleep fly at LAS, with the math

Park sleep fly means you book one hotel night bundled with parking at the hotel for the length of your trip, and ride the hotel shuttle both ways. At LAS the math is tighter than at most big airports, because official parking here is genuinely cheap.

Official Harry Reid parking rates, from the airport’s own parking pages, effective July 1, 2026 and checked in November 2026:

LAS parking option Daily max Seven days
    Economy (uncovered) $14 $98
Remote Lot, with free terminal shuttles $14 $98
    Long Term garage $20 $140
Terminal 3 Long Term, reserved, Saturday to Wednesday $16 $112
    Valet $34 $238

One caution: some third-party parking sites still list LAS Economy at $12 a day. The airport’s own site says $14, effective July 1, 2026. Trust the airport’s number.

Now the package side. The Best Western McCarran Inn sells park sleep fly packages with one night plus up to seven days of parking included, per ParkSleepFly and Triply. The DoubleTree charges $12 a day for on-site parking and requires you to book its Park and Fly rate for extended parking, per Hilton. The Hampton Inn and Suites charges $7 a day for self parking, which works out to $49 for a week on top of the room.

    The honest math:

    1. Parking alone for a week costs $98 in Economy. No hotel package with a room included is going to beat that by much, and most will cost more in total.
    2. A package at the Best Western makes sense when you need the room anyway: one night from $83 with up to seven days of parking included can land close to the $98 parking-only price, with a bed and a shower thrown in.
    3. If you are staying the night regardless, the Hampton’s $7 a day self parking is the cheapest way to leave a car at an airport hotel we found: $49 for the week.
    4. Unlike LAX, where a week of drive-up Economy parking costs $245, LAS park sleep fly is a convenience buy, not a savings play. Buy it for the early shuttle and the short drive, not for the discount. Compare the two airports in our LAX Airport Hotels guide.

Our full explainer on how these packages work is at Park Sleep Fly.

Layover and day room options at LAS

Las Vegas is a bad airport to try to sleep in and a good one for a cheap day room. HotelsByDay’s LAS guide is blunt: there are no nap pods or nap rooms at LAS, and the only on-site sleep facility closed permanently in March 2025. What the terminal does have is slot machines, which run all night, and paid lounges.

The better move is a day room in the airport hotel cluster, five to ten minutes away. Dayuse puts the average LAS airport day room at $79.87 and the average day hotel across Las Vegas at $97.08. At those prices, a real bed, a shower, and blackout curtains cost less than two airport meals and a lounge pass.

Our rule of thumb: leave the airport on a layover of five hours or more. The airport hotels are close enough that the shuttle ride is about five minutes, per Hotels.com’s LAS shuttle guide. Under five hours, stay in the terminal and use a lounge. For more on how day rooms work, see Airport Day Rooms.

    Early flight traps at LAS

    1. The closest hotel has the worst early shuttle. The Best Western McCarran Inn shuttle, per its ParkSleepFly listing, runs roughly 6:15 AM to 1:00 PM and then 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. There is no shuttle before 6:15 AM and a gap in the afternoon. For a 6 AM or 7 AM flight, this hotel’s location advantage disappears. One guest review on the same listing also reported a $5 per person shuttle charge, which conflicts with the included shuttle in the package description, so confirm the current cost when you book.
    2. The hourly shuttle that fills up. The Tru by Hilton shuttle runs once an hour at the top of the hour and is shared across three hotels, per guest reviews. It can book out. Reserve your seats the night before and treat the shuttle before yours as your real departure time.
    3. Reservation-only casino shuttles. South Point and the Silverton run scheduled airport shuttles for registered guests only, and advance reservations are required, with no same-day reservations at South Point. Pickup is at Terminal 1 Level Zero. These are fine if you plan ahead and useless if you assume you can just walk out and hop on.
    4. Stale parking prices. Third-party sites listing $12 a day Economy parking at LAS are out of date. The airport’s rate is $14 a day as of July 1, 2026.

    FAQ

Is there a hotel inside Harry Reid International Airport?

No. There is no hotel inside LAS, and the airport’s only on-site sleep rooms closed permanently in March 2025. The closest hotel is the Best Western McCarran Inn on Paradise Road, about a mile from the terminals.

How much is parking at LAS for a week?

At the airport’s own rates effective July 1, 2026, a week costs $98 in Economy or the Remote Lot ($14 a day), $140 in the Long Term garage ($20 a day), and $112 in Terminal 3 Long Term reserved parking ($16 a day, Saturday to Wednesday, reservation required).

Do hotels near LAS offer free airport shuttles?

Yes, the airport area hotels mostly do. Hilton lists free 24-hour shuttles at the Hampton Inn and Suites, Homewood Suites, and DoubleTree, and the La Quinta Airport South runs a free 24-hour shuttle. Hours are the catch: the Best Western McCarran Inn shuttle starts at 6:15 AM and pauses mid-afternoon. Most Strip resorts do not run free airport shuttles.

How long is the shuttle ride from LAS to the airport hotels?

About five minutes for the Paradise Road cluster, per Hotels.com’s LAS shuttle guide. The farther Hilton properties south of the airport run about ten minutes.

Can you sleep in LAS overnight?

You can sit in the terminal overnight, but there are no nap pods or sleep rooms since the on-site facility closed in March 2025, and the slot machines keep the terminal bright and noisy. A day room at an airport hotel averaged $79.87 on Dayuse when checked, which is the better spend on any long layover.

Is park sleep fly worth it at LAS?

Only when you need the room anyway. A week of official Economy parking costs $98, so a package cannot save you much. Where it helps: the Best Western includes up to seven days of parking with a night from $83, and the Hampton Inn and Suites charges just $7 a day to leave your car, or $49 for a week.

LAX Airport Hotels: Free Shuttles, Real Prices and Park Sleep Fly Packages

    The short answer

There is no hotel inside the LAX terminals. The airport hotels line Century Boulevard, one block to about a mile from the terminals, and most run free shuttles around the clock. The closest is the Hyatt Regency LAX, one block away with a free 24-hour shuttle. Decent rooms started at $81 when checked in November 2026, and official airport parking runs $20 to $35 a day depending on the lot, which is why park sleep fly packages can beat driving to the airport and parking.

    Hotels near LAX compared

All prices below were seen in listings checked in November 2026. Airport hotel prices swing hard by date, so treat these as the range to expect, not a quote.

Hotel Distance to LAX Shuttle Nightly price seen (checked Nov 2026)
Hyatt Regency LAX One block, the closest hotel to the terminals Free, 24 hours, every 15 to 20 minutes From $110; monthly averages $196 to $315 on KAYAK
Hilton Los Angeles Airport 0.25 mile Free, 24 hours, every 25 to 45 minutes From $121 on Trip.com
Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX Under 1 mile Free, 24 hours From $108 on KAYAK; monthly averages $161 to $248; a same-day listing showed $184
Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel About 1 mile Free, 24 hours From $81 on KAYAK
Residence Inn LAX Century Boulevard Under 1 mile Free 24-hour shuttle; free breakfast $160 on a same-day listing

Sonesta Select LAX El Segundo 1.7 miles Complimentary shuttle From $98 on KAYAK; monthly averages $126 to $181

Two patterns matter more than the brand names. First, the four big Century Boulevard hotels (Hyatt, Hilton, Sonesta, Sheraton) all run free shuttles 24 hours a day, so any of them works for a 6 AM departure. Second, the El Segundo hotels south of the airport are often $20 to $60 cheaper per night, but some of their shuttles keep office hours. Check the shuttle schedule, not just the shuttle icon on the booking page, before you pick the cheaper room. See the early flight traps below.

Park sleep fly at LAX, with the math

Park sleep fly means you book one hotel night bundled with parking at the hotel for the length of your trip, and ride the hotel shuttle both ways. At LAX it is worth pricing every time, because official parking is expensive at drive-up rates.

Official LAX parking rates, from the airport’s own parking pages, checked November 2026:

LAX parking option Daily max Seven days at drive-up rates Seven days prebooked
    Economy Parking $35 $245 From $105 (prebooked rates from $15 a day)
    Budget Parking $20 $140 From $91 (prebooked rates from $13 a day)
Central Terminal Area $60 $420 Not the lot to use for a week

Now the package side. StayParkTravel lists 26 LAX park sleep fly packages, with a seven-day package at the Hilton Garden Inn LAX El Segundo listed from $123. ParkSleepFly lists packages at the same hotel at $239 to $259 for other dates, and lists the Hilton Los Angeles Airport with parking included in its packages and a 24-hour shuttle. Cambria Hotel LAX sells its own Park and Fly packages with three or seven days of parking, 2.2 miles from the airport with a complimentary shuttle, though it does not publish the package price on its offers page.

    The honest math:

    1. Against drive-up Economy parking at $245 for a week, a $123 package wins easily. You pay less than parking alone and get a hotel night.
    2. Against prebooked Economy parking from $105 for a week, the same package costs about $18 more and includes the room. If you need the room anyway, the package still wins.
    3. Against prebooked Budget parking from $91 for a week, the package costs about $32 more. Again, that difference buys the hotel night.
    4. If you do not need a hotel night at all, prebooked official parking is the cheapest option and no package beats it. Park sleep fly only pays when the room has value to you.

Layover and day room options at LAX

If your layover is long but a full night makes no sense, a day room near LAX is the standard fix. Dayuse lists the Courtyard LAX Century Boulevard and the Embassy Suites LAX North, which runs a 24/7 shuttle. The Points Guy booked a day room at the Sonesta LAX through Dayuse from 7 AM to 2 PM for $116, and Dayuse puts the average Los Angeles day room at $110.50.

Budget for roughly $110 to $120 for a daytime room with a real bed and a shower, checked November 2026. Our rule of thumb: a day room is worth it on a layover of six hours or more. Under that, LAX terminal traffic and security lines eat too much of the break. For more on how day rooms work, see Airport Day Rooms.

There are no sleep pods or an in-terminal hotel at LAX in the sources we checked. Every sleep option is off airport property, which is another reason the shuttle schedule matters.

    Early flight traps at LAX

    1. The El Segundo shuttle gap. The Hilton Garden Inn LAX El Segundo runs its shuttle from 6:00 AM to midnight only, per its ParkSleepFly listing. A great park sleep fly price does you no good if your flight leaves at 6:30 AM and the first shuttle gets you there at 6:15. For departures before about 7:30 AM, stay on Century Boulevard.
    2. Slow shuttle loops. The Hilton Los Angeles Airport shuttle runs every 25 to 45 minutes. It is free and it runs 24 hours, but plan to leave the hotel earlier than you would for the Hyatt’s 15 to 20 minute pattern.
    3. Finding the shuttle at the airport. Per the FlyLAX TravelSafely page, hotel shuttle stops are on the Upper Departures Level at the red curbside pylons. Head upstairs after baggage claim, not to the ground transportation islands on the arrivals level.
    4. Drive-up parking sticker shock. The gap between drive-up and prebooked official parking is huge at LAX: $245 versus from $105 for a week in Economy. Never pay the drive-up rate for a planned trip.

    FAQ

Is there a hotel inside LAX?

No. There is no hotel inside the LAX terminals. The closest option is the Hyatt Regency LAX, one block from the terminals at 6225 W Century Boulevard, with a free 24-hour shuttle and a ride of under five minutes.

How much is parking at LAX for a week?

At drive-up rates checked in November 2026, a week costs $245 in Economy Parking ($35 a day), $140 in Budget Parking ($20 a day), and $420 in the Central Terminal Area ($60 a day). Prebooking cuts Economy to from $105 a week and Budget to from $91 a week.

Do hotels near LAX have free shuttles?

Most Century Boulevard hotels do, and the Hyatt, Hilton, Sonesta, and Sheraton Gateway run theirs 24 hours a day for free. The exception pattern is in El Segundo, where some hotel shuttles run limited hours, so confirm the first shuttle of the day before booking an early flight.

Where do I catch a hotel shuttle at LAX?

Per the FlyLAX TravelSafely page, hotel shuttles pick up on the Upper Departures Level at the red curbside pylons. Go up one level from baggage claim and look for the red pylons for your hotel’s shuttle.

Can I book a day room near LAX?

Yes. Dayuse lists day rooms at airport hotels including the Courtyard LAX Century Boulevard and the Embassy Suites LAX North. A booked example at the Sonesta LAX ran 7 AM to 2 PM for $116, and the Los Angeles day room average on Dayuse is $110.50.

Is park sleep fly worth it at LAX?

If you need a hotel night, usually yes. Packages with seven days of parking were listed from $123, which beats the $245 drive-up cost of a week in LAX Economy Parking and comes within about $20 of prebooked parking while including the room. If you do not need the room, prebooked official parking is cheaper.
